Greenfield Public Library

Excellent little public library. Plenty of parking. Well marked entrance. Still masking, but they do provide masks if you need one. Great selection with kids and non-fiction mostly taking up the main floor and fiction on the second floor (elevator access). Bottom shelves are filed with the spines facing up for ease of reading. Friendly staff. Self checkout stations are also available on the main floor.

Yesterday was our first time at this library but we were here for a birthday party, so I cannot speak on the library itself. The one star review (would be less if there was that option) is for the way my friend and her boyfriend was treated by the staff member who was "in charge" of overseeing the event - we think he was the librarian, but could be wrong (heavy set Caucasian guy, in his 40s). He was incredibly rude to my friend and her boyfriend from the moment they got there until the second we all left. We were a very respectful group of people and left the room in excellent condition after the party was over however, after the way my friends were treated, none of us will ever rent a room from this location again due to the disgruntled nature and actions of this particular member of the staff. It's very unfortunate when situations like this arise. You would think that the guy would know how to talk to people since talking to people is part of his job description, but maybe we were a little too "ethnic" for his liking. Who knows? To the a-hole staff member, thanks for trying to ruin my friend's son's first birthday, we still had a great time regardless of your feeble attempts. Maybe you should consider a factory job where you don't have to deal with people since that clearly isn't your strong point.
